Our Optical Field
Monitoring Solution

We provide the world's first high-field optical quantum sensor for direct magnetic field measurement in MRI

Direct Measurements in the Scanner

We are delivering an integrated EXAAQ system with an array of optical field probes, allowing the user to map the magnetic field, in 3D, inside the MRI scanner.

Product layout

Lasers, photodetectors, and electronics are integrated in a single 19" rack, that is placed outside of the scanner room. The optical probes are positioned inside the MRI scanner (mounted on the RF coil) and optical fibers connect the probes to the rack.

The system is controlled via a simple graphical user interface, and measurements are synchronized to the MRI-system via a trigger input.

Easy to Implement

The optical probes are made from plastic and glass components, and all connections are fiber-optic. This allows the user to position them freely and safely in the MRI scanner, and use them with any available RF coil.

A single field monitoring system can be operated at different field strengths, covering all possible MRI systems from 1.5 to 14 Tesla and beyond.

Continuous measurements allows the user to use existing MRI sequences, without any modifications.

Applications

With a minimum of four probes positioned in the MRI scanner, the user can determine B0, x-, y-, and z-gradients, gaining critical insights into MRI sequences.

This allows for:
